When I was younger, I was really into the big showy commercial idea of Valentine’s Day. I wanted red roses, a new teddy bear, chocolates, and a fancy dinner. As I’ve grown older and fallen happily and comfortably in love, I’m not at all interested in sharing my day with 50 other couples in a restaurant or paying three times the price I normally would for flowers. I still love gifts, and I still love the sentiment of spoiling my sweetheart but I prefer to do it in a much more personal way.
For those of you that still love to give and receive gifts for Valentine’s Day, why not support handmade and give flowers that will last much, much longer than those hastily bought bouquets will.
Greeting cards and phone cases are made to order from my Redbubble shop. The more cards you buy, the more you save, so why not stock up for birthdays too?
Whatever you end up doing with the person you love, I hope it’s relaxing, romantic, and totally you. Enjoy!
