Green Birdflower

Green or Regal Birdflower is easy to walk past when it’s not in flower. It looks a bit dry and is covered in chubby, murky green pods.

The plant (Crotalaria Cunninghamii) belongs to a legume family called Fabaceae and it’s native to northern Australia (source Wikipedia). I’ve photographed these on show at our state’s botanical park.

Luckily for everyone, the flowers themselves are gorgeous!
